Twenty seven of our MSW students are about to hop a very-long flight to Mumbai, India for a two-week exploration of "Entrepreneurship, Empowerment and Media: Social development in India." Professors Gokul Mandayam, Rafael Angulo and Healther Halperin will lead us through historical landmarks, rural villages, universities and even a few call centers. At the end of they journey, the students will be tasked with producing short documentaries capturing different social issues in India-from life for the urban poor to empowering women through microfinance.
